Fieldpiece Optical Laser Tachometer measures RPM without contact The Fieldpiece Optical Laser Tachometer is a stand-alone device that senses the passage of reflective markings on a rotating fan or shaft in order to determine the target's rotational rate. When the laser is pointed at the included reflector strip, the three-digit LCD display indicates the RPM. RPM is measured when the laser beam is interrupted by the revolution of the target. The laser beam stays narrow, even over long distances.
